AICHE 2026 brings scholars, philosophers, scientists, theologians, students, and the public together for an interdisciplinary conversation about human enhancement in African contexts.
Transhumanism, science, and religion in Africa
The conference explores how emerging technologies – from artificial intelligence and biotechnology to neurotechnology and life extension – meet questions of ethics, culture, spirituality, public policy, and human dignity across the continent.
Hosted in Abuja with virtual participation, AICHE creates room for serious exchange between technical, philosophical, religious, and public perspectives.
Call for abstracts and proposals
Paper, panel, and roundtable proposals are invited across the conference themes. Abstracts of up to 300 words should identify the presentation mode and relevance to the conference theme. English submissions are expected; French submissions with English translations are also accepted.
Abstract deadline: 15 September 2026
Notification: 25 September 2026
Submission: aiche@transhumanistsafrica.org
